Privacy Policy
Effective 25 October 2026. This policy covers the CheckMate chess app for iPhone and this website. CheckMate is made by Suvy LLC ("we").
- CheckMate works fully offline and makes no network requests of its own.
- No accounts, sign-ins, ads, analytics or tracking.
- We do not collect, store, share or sell any personal data.
- Your progress stays on your iPhone.
Data we collect
None. CheckMate does not collect any information about you or how you use the app. It contains no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or tracking code, and there is no CheckMate server for data to be sent to.
Data stored on your device
To remember your progress, CheckMate saves a small file in the app's private storage on your iPhone. It holds:
- games played and wins per AI level
- solved puzzles and completed lessons
- your chosen piece set, board theme and other settings
This file never leaves your device through CheckMate. It may be included in your own iCloud or computer backups of your iPhone, which Apple handles under its privacy policy. Deleting the app deletes this data.
Purchases
CheckMate Pro subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. Apple handles your payment details and Apple ID; we never see them. The app asks StoreKit only whether you have an active subscription, so it can unlock Pro features. Apple shares limited, non-identifying sales reports with developers, as described in Apple's Privacy Policy.
Tracking
CheckMate does not track you across apps or websites and does not use the advertising identifier.
Children
CheckMate is suitable for all ages. Because it collects no personal data, it collects none from children.
This website
This website (checkmate.suvysoft.com, also reachable at checkd.suvysoft.com) has no cookies, analytics or tracking scripts. It is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard request data such as IP addresses to deliver and secure the site. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when you load a page.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date. If CheckMate ever starts collecting data, we will say so here and in the App Store listing before it does.
